timeless, im having a memory blackout here :) could you please tell me what the stoicman and medicine man passages were about so i can remember (i really completely forgot lol)

Also, the Disneyland passage was used as an experimental for the koreans who had to retake the test due to cheating in march; so its quite possible that it ISN'T the experimental-maybe CB thought it was good enough to be used on the real thing. All i know is that the last section (with 5 Vocab) was NOT experimental because there is always one section with fewer than 8 vocab (that was weatherman one no?).

TBH, i'm not 100% sure. We all had the same test, so we can't deduce by elimination which one is the experimental. We'll should rediscuss to find out which vocab are experimental once we know for certain.

So.. Collegeboard posted which section was experimental... it looks like from the one that I took, it was the fifth/./. just cant remember whether that was the weatherman or the disney..
anyone got any ideas?

Does anyone know the order of this? I can't remember :( what was the experimental?

Its either the African American businessman one or the Disneyland one...i think. The two long passages were the "great female artists" and something else (i forgot lol). Hopefully someone else can answer

w00t! it's definitely the disneyland one -- businessman was the very first section that we got. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

but it doesn't really matter now that i've cancelled my scores..

EDIT: confirmation to others. It WAS in fact the Disney one; I remember thinking, after I wrote two reading sections in a row, that I shouldnt get too down on myself for doing so poorly on the disney one as it is likely to be experimental. And it was

No nothing really. If anyone can remember some of the vocab from that section it would be nice to reduce some the stress :D. Other than that, i'm curious to know which passage was the short one? I think its the Lullaby one but im not too sure.

Also i wouldn't be suprised if this was the same exact test the korean group got last time (in march i think).sigh lazy collegeboard. If someone can find the scoring curve for that test it would be really helpful, so we can estimate what we recieved.

^ ***. I found it the hardest I've ever taken. fck. maybe it was because the proctor screwed up the essay and it was my first time therefore it put me in a bad mood for the rest of the test...but whatever. i found it hard. there goes my 2200 (from ALL my practises)

In reply to NotAmbidextrous, you may think it's "so easy", but if you had worked carefully, you would have noticed that many of the questions are quite tricky, and the test is in fact more difficult than previous tests. Not to burst your bubble directly, but don't be surprised when you get a score that is much lower than what you expected! (Granted, the scale will probably be better than that of the May administration.) =)

hey i just found something funny.
you know the a/b+1 you guys were discussing on the previous threads, all of my friends who took it in Korea said the question asked for a/b, and myself, who actually doublechekced all the quesitons. Do you think the collegeboard made variants of test even among the international takers?

Well it couldn't be a/b because there were two answer for a/b: 1 and -1; which were both possible answers to the MC question (1 was A and -1 was E i think). So i doubt it was a/b. The question asked what would a#b equal and that function is a/b+1. I doubt they made a variation of the test, and there's always a possibility I could be wrong but thats what i remember. Maybe you've just remembered incorrectly and you got the answer right.

What about the question that was the multiplication of three consecutive integers? Was that 0? (or did I remember the question incorrectly. I can't remember if it was multiplication or addition of three consecutive integers)

um...so are the discussions over now?? haha
anyone any weird things from any of the sections??
well, i have one.
in math, for the 2 triangles inscribed in a circle, you had to find the length of long side using the measures given for small triangle (similar triangle problem)
so for small triangle, hyp. was 2x, short leg was x, and we had to find longer leg of the larger triangle. Since the lenght of short leg of big triangle is 4x, we have to multiply square root of (2x)^2 minus x^2 to 4 rite?
and for Cr lulluby passage, did u guys get "music appeals to humans" for the question that asks for what would both authors agree on?
and for the art passage at the end, anyone confident about the answer to question asking for best characteristic of great artists?
lastly, i seriously cant remember the questions from long passage following the short lulluby passage. Anyone remember from that section? or any other section??
Thanks jaja

oh and one more thing, for the weatherman passage, how would the author of passage 1 characterize "doctors and etc" mentioned in the beginning of the second passage? is it Insincere, because passage 1 guy praised the informal weatherman for being so sincere and frank about his job.

ahhhhhh! I missed the last grid in question!! so STUPID! I got the answer right...:) but second guess myself!!?!? AH! :(:( I hate it when that happens!!
