<p>@yomyomf I agree that doing any of those things once or twice won’t drop your score. It’s not about having perfect grammar, but about having consistently good grammar. This poster had some errors, so I probably wouldn’t take off marks for that. I was just answering your question about grammar being important on the SAT essay.</p>
<p>As for the essay itself, the two major supporting arguments are there, the structure is there, and the intention is there. I found that the actual topic was only addressed directly in the conclusion as opposed to being supported throughout. The poster uses two great examples, but only addresses examples of heroism instead of why heroism is defined by speaking out.</p>
<p>I’d give this a 4. it could have easily been a 5 if the examples had been more clearly supporting the argument/thesis and some improvement in the grammar. The poster should review subject/verb agreement and such, just to clean it up a bit.</p>
