So I took the new SAT essay along with the test itself in March and scores were released today. I got a perfect score, but I’m a sophomore. I don’t want to re-take it because there’s no way for growth to show later on, but would showing an outdated score hurt my chances even if it’s good? (Im planning on retaking the actual reading/writing/math SAT just not the essay)
I don’t think it should hurt your chances at all. I know someone who took the SAT once her sophomore year, got a 2300, and is going to Yale. A good score is a good score.
