does the essay need examples from various subjects or can I still get a 12 with 2-3 from literary examples only?

its really hard to get a 12 nobody i know got a 12 youd need literary examples and then connect back with personal life and maybe history too

Dont worry about the essay as much as the regular MC questions. If you really practice enough sections, you will get used to the questions The College Board likes to ask. Chances are you will have a score in the 700’s and as long as you write a mediocre essay that is structured well with okay examples and takes up most of the two pages, you will get a 10+, your score from MC wont be affected and you will still end up in the 700’, which is what most people should strive for.

From what I’ve seen, essay scores depend more upon how well the essay is written than the specific example types used. Look on the CB website and you’ll see plenty of essays with nothing but personal examples. A variety of sources is never a bad thing, but don’t sweat it.

It’s how you write the examples not what you write it on. Develop the examples coherently and thoroughly so that it displays your point not just to fill up space and you’re on your way to a 10+
