Sat essay

hey y'all
i'm writing the SAT for the first time on the 23rd. heck nervous
well im practicing writing the essay at the moment. the examples i can use from literature include ideas from, To Kill a Mockingbird, Wuthering Heights, Things Fall Apart, Othello, and As you like it.
I'm not a History student, so i have trouble when it comes to ideas from history cuz my history knowledge is very limited.
can u guys give me a few ideas for history? as in some events/people whose use will be very helpful in the essays, so i can briefly learn about it?

and there was another thread about a few tips on getting a good score for the essay, but i can't find it anymore :/
if anyone knows any, feel free to post them here; i'm sure it will be helpful for everyone. if i'm not wrong, in that thread, there was something about how, if we cover both sides given to us with good BS, we'll be through. is that true?

thank you in advance

uhm well, regarding the essay, i would recommend taking a look at sparknotes… they have a nice formula with which u can get some last minute practicing. i have found it to be very true what they say: the sat guys don´t want a perfect essay. they want what they want. and that is a standard, well-written essay draft. of course, if ur essay is bs then writing two pages doesn´t save you. but if you can fill the two pages with a well-developed essay in the same time that others have for only one page, then it will deffo look good.

to the hs examples… think of some american hs examples: how the us developed from a failing confederation into the first modern democracy in the world. the nazis and hitlerdt is a great example for following the crowd essays… well, just read some good historical novels, that´s great for getting examples ^^ good luck, hope u get through!
