SAT I and SAT II

I am going to take my SAT I again and also SAT II but can't decide when to take it. My AP exams will be all in May. Should I take my SAT I in June and SAT II in May or should it be the other way around? Please advise.

Take the SAT IIs in May so you'll know the material better. I did it the opposite way and have since regretted my decision.

I agree- take the SAT IIs in May if you're going to be taking an AP test that is of the subject (precal for math 2 (ok so this isn't AP), u.s. history, bio, chem, physics, etc.) That way you can study once and get both over with.

that said, I took u.s. history sat IIs in november- i studied a lot and still did well

I third the other posters: take the SAT II's in May. I did this, and it worked out really well for me. Of course, like instanticedtea, you can do well later on, but this way is easier. Especially if you are like me, and are just not going to study (trust me...if you haven't studied in the past, you really are probably not going to study now), this is the way to go.

Another word to the wise: if you are taking AP Calc, take the Math II exam. I took the Math I, and did okay (730), but it would have been much more appropriate to take the Math II. I am not sure that I would have done better (I got a 770), but I wouldn't have had to sit for another testing date later on.

I also had a question on subject tests My GPA for Math 3 (Algebra 2) and U.S. History are a B+ and a B- respectively. The B- because my history teacher insists on giving us "college-level" unit exams and most people don't do very well even if they study all the homework and regular quizzes we took. (But that's probably considered an excuse..)

I'm struggling to maintain the B- and hopefully get it to a B for 3rd quarter. However my math grade continues to improve most likely to a definite A for 3rd quarter thanks to my great teacher and improved study skills. Ha, my actual question is, if I'm just now understand Math well and struggling to that B in U.S. History, should I bother to take the Subject Tests in May for them?

I already plan to take an AP exam for AP English and most likely the subject test for Literature.

Wateradept, I would suggest that you take a look at some practice tests for US and Math SAT II's to see how your knowledge shapes up. If your US class is really as hard as you think, than you might get a good score on the US SAT II even as you struggle to maintain a B in the class. As far as math, you should take the Math I SAT II--Math II is probably beyond the scope of your Algebra II course. Of course, you don't want to take a test that you are totally unprepared for, but the longer you wait to fulfill your testing requirements, the harder and more stressful testing becomes.
