SAT I and Writing?

Does ND look at the Writing part of the SAT I for admission?

This year they aren't, but I'm pretty sure they said they might use it to compare candidates when it comes down to their final decisions.

however, would they look at my Writing SAT II subject score of 640, depite my 700+ scores on all other parts inluding math verbal, 4 sat IIS...?

It sounds like your scores are going to be solid, so I wouldn't worry too much about a 640 writing. They aren't going to emphasize it much this year, and if everything else is strong enough, it won't matter anyways. Plus, I hear a 640 means that you are a brilliant writer (read: it is what I got as well). Good luck!

do you think I should apply EA then

What are the rest of your stats?

I had an 87.8 average at a top boarding school, Andover.

I would recommend RA, but it may be worth asking admissions what they think as well.

DukeDevils... You stole my post!?

lol, you are right, he did! However, was your question answered? If not, we can shift back to you. I am sorry, I didn't even notice that. Please people, start your own threads!!!

Thanks Irish! Nope, it wasn't really answered..

I appriciate your help

to answer your question IHATESAT, Notre Dame takes pride in syaing that they dont pay attention to the Writing Section(something im thankful of, I do well in school but always do badly on these portions of standardized tests cuz i write small and they think its less....anyway)but i wouldnt put past them to compare similar candidates by looking at the writing, so do as well as you can.
