SAT I Discussion

^^ ack I messed that one up :(

about tanaina, i thought that was the easiest one out of all the passages..which question are you referring to?

oh i meant in general..do you remember any of the questions..for the first one ..was the answer "culturally determined?"

and another math q.

If a % b = ab + a + b
Then which of the following are true?
I put I and III

how did you guys think about the essay?

I talked about Columbus as one of my examples for discoveries made by focusing on a different subject.

I gave a personal example about how i learned about music through literature rather than through playing

sorry, it was I and II, on the third one, there is an extra x

Oh yeah that’s what I meant, I and II

i said better to know a bit about everything---
i used mary shelley's frankenstein (how he concentrated completely on science, neglecting other interests and people to devote his life to it etc.) and the SATs themselves (how being worldly aids in attempting the essay and vocabulary etc.)

Overall, I think the test was pretty easy compared to what they usually are..I think the trickiest section was the last one of CR (the one with the alien thing)

All of you guys signed an agreement saying you wouldnt share any of the information on the test...

yeah, i wish i'd remembered some questions from that passage

the folktale one was easy and the food one was easy though. The one about the girl's newsreporter job was tricky..

There was a question on writing that was like If the English poet James Bosnell was...

does anyone remember the answer to that one?

nope, don't remember that one, do you know the rest of the statement?

It was like IN English poetry James Bosnell …prime mover of the biographer, BY ENSURING the immortality of the author, he ..immortality of himself.

Something like that

I think I put E (no error) for the English poet James Bosnell one, but that was the one I wasn't sure about, so...

oh, there was no error on that one, so E

I really hope the first W section was the experimental one

the only writing question i missed (or atleast I think) is the one with as a means, because I thought that was plural...stupid mistake...

Yeah I put E too. I’m trying to remember if the first word, whether it was IN or IF…
