What did you guys think? Thought it was fairly simple, curve will probably be very harsh.

What did you guys get for the one with the x = .3 (box), with p/t ?

What did you guys think? Thought it was fairly simple, curve will probably be very harsh.

What did you guys get for the one with the x = .3 (box), with p/t ?

I put .3 as the hundreths but i'm not sure

I put 3 also, but it was a total guess. I heard someone put 2 and supposedly they knew how to do it, but I'm not so sure. I put 3 by making a somewhat logical guess, I suppose.

If anyone helps with this problem it'd be great.

Its 2... and it is correct....

8/25 = 0.32..... that was a lucky guess of mine!

Well, if you look at it that way, 6/16 = .333333

that's not right because that's a repeating decimal though. jsmith's explanation is correct

well.. 3 wasnt even an answer choice.... it was
A) 2
B)4
C)5
D)7
E)9

3 was an answer choice.
It was 2, 3, 5, 7, 9.

look at it like this

.3X=3X/100=p/t

t has to be a 2 digit number so 100 must be divisible my a factor of 3X, 2 was the only one that made it even

oh well.. but 3 is a repeating so i guess its not the answer....

what did everyone get for that barrels problem... that one completely threw me off.... i thought it was worded really wrong!

then what about 7/20 = .35? It should be three because that works for all numbers

what was the barrels problem? The fractional part, i think i put the first choice 7/30

Right, I put 7/30 as well.

good point... inthemoney!

Barrel problem? The one drawn with the pie diagram? (if it was that one, it was very simple)

If you tell me the question I can solve it for you, I'm good at math.

1.5 and .8 were originally in both barrels. you had to move .35 gallons.

.35/1.5= 7/30 of the original barrel had to be moved

Like it gave u a chart of data...... it said millions of barrels....and stuff like that

first of all 6/16 = 3/8 = .375

second of all; what were the full directions; did the answer have to terminate in the hundredth digit or not? My friend put 2; and 8/25 works but 7/20 works as well. If the hundredths difit is indeed the last one then the denominator has to be 10, 20, 25, or 50 since it has to divide 100. 3/10 works but nothing else does and 0 isnt an answer choice. 9/50 is the highest one can get and that is still not even close. 6/20 = .30, 7/20 = .35 so 5 is the first choice that works. 8/25 = .32, 9/25 = .36, so 2 is another choice that works (because 6 isnt an answer). Thus the answer has to be 2 or 5 - i dont see how this problem gave enough information if both 2 and 5 were choices.

im not talking about the gallons one... that was easy!

What did you guys get for the one where it had line l intersection (a,b) and (a+2,b+2) and which point was on line k?
