SAT I Discussion

Another simple q was like in 1990 you had a certain amount of money and each year $2 would be added and in what year would it reach $100.
Ans: 2040

If a cake was cut into thirds and then into fourths, how many pieces would there be?
12

was one of the answers reticent?

goldfish i got the same answers as you

that's what I got...
I also got snobbiness...and tout and eficious...and there was one about rap...and the choices were circumpect, prozaic, and a couple others...what was the answer
what will you get if you get one of the fill in the blank math questions wrong...i was an idiot and put 179...instead of 89 for the one math ?..i can't believe i overlooked 2 digit!

JB I put contempt

didn't it say 1 piece into 4ths

Goldfish and JB12790, in 1990 there were already $10, so we didn't nee dto get $100 more, we needed only $90 more. therefore it would take 45 years, not 50. I put 2035 as the answer

Could you guys believe that? I got the Plato passage in December and the Taniana (or something) in June!
and the hotel staying Math question, too.

did anyone have a 20 question math section that had something like 7.000 is 10^x , what is x? Also that section had 2 line graphs and the answer was g(x)=f(x)+1

i think i put contempt and at the last second changed it to disapproval, i have been taught that less extreme is better

i put contempt because he kept going on and on about how plato thought homer's work was pointless and bad

JB I also put reticent for one of them (I think the q was about quiet children).

for the cake it said cut thirds and take a piece and make 4ths? right?

shouldn't it be 2035...it should take 45 years for the money to reach 90..so 1990 plus 45 is 2035

ivyleague i got x=4 and i dont remember what i got for the other one, i had experimental math

ivy league, since we need 70000, the answer is 4

Goldfish...member #18 is correct. The answer was definitely 2035. The common mistake was 2040, because it started off with $10 in 1990...
I put 2040.................................................and then I erased it and put 2035

yes, 2035 was the other answer, just look at the "Official SAT thread" for grid in answers

The essay is worth 30% of your score, and the MC is worth 70%. If you have the bluebook you can find the exact breakdown of your writing score. Do you think you got two 6's (12) or a 6 as a final score? If you think you got a 6 as a final score I highly doubt it. The bluebook says a perfect MC + a final score of 6 on the essay is 710-770. :)

it was reticent...which was quiet,,,that's the kids question right?
