Hi,
I realize this is a very silly question but is the math harder in the SAT I test or SAT II Math IC? I took the IIC last year but don't remember the differences between SAT I and IC. As far as I can vaguely recall, I thought the level was about the same in both? Thanks.

Math II has more advanced material (pre-calc, trig), but the questions are way more straightforward. Also, the curve is really awesome so 90% of people get an 800. Math I has a harsh curve and asks math SAT I-style questions (only they are harder).

So if you know trig, take Math II.

90% don’t get an 800; 10% do, right?

Sorry, you’re correct :p

Ok. I was hoping my 800 was a bit more valuable than that :p

How difficult are the questions? Like what math concepts do they go up to?

Is it gonna be as hard as any item on a pre-ap precal test?

The most advanced stuff IMO is trig identities. Also, there a lot of random random stuff that isn’t hard but you might have never seen in class. If you have any doubt, get a review book. PR and Barrons are good. Barrons is too hard, PR is too easy.

Yeah, the questions weren’t terribly hard but I was tripped up by a couple things I hadn’t seen before.
