June of my sophomore year, I took the Math 2 subject test and score an 800. This November (during my junior year) I took the main SAT and received a score of 770 on the math section. Does this detract from my earlier higher score on the Math 2 test, or does the Math 2 score help compensate for my slightly lower score on the SAT math section? Or are they completely unrelated?
Thanks for any help!
Literally, you’re fine. Trust me. A 770 is still an extremely high score and means you got only 2 questions wrong (this november -1 was an 800, which is a rarity) you’ll be fine.
a 770 is one wrong at least at the October testing. @wanderlustgal
@andrewmcdona Yeah, but he said he took it in November. The november scale was -1 is 800, so -2 is most likely 770
You are fine. My D2 had 800 on Math II and 780 in the SAT math, and got in everyplace she applied, including UChicago and Swarthmore. I would not have had her retake a 770.
