So I plan on taking two subject tests by the end of the year (US History and French), but since I plan on majoring in a science/going the pre-med route in college, I would like to take a science subject test as well. I'm currently in Physics and Anatomy & Physiology, but I've been having a really rough time with physics. So, I don't know if taking the physics subject test would be a good choice :/. Anyway, I'm not taking AP Bio until next year (senior year). Would Anatomy be adequate preparation for the Bio subject test? Or would I have to study on my own?

it depends on what you learn in the class. didn’t you take an intro bio course like freshman year? also, just take a couple of practice tests, and see where you are.

Study on your own. While organismal biology makes up something like a quarter of the test, you’ll definitely need a book or something to help you out with the rest of it.

I’ll probably just study on my own then. Thank you! Do you have any recommendations for what book is best?

Not really. I used Sparknotes Biology (old, but I got it from my cousin) and this small one called ‘My Max Score: SAT Biology E/M Subject Test.’ Both were very informative and had 3 practice tests each, but I don’t know how they compare to other books. Scores still pending, just took it yesterday.

I’ll try out the Max Score book probably. Thanks! I hope you did well!

If possible, take a look at barrons. The tests are a bit harder than the real one, so its good practice.
