SAT II Biology E very much like APES? Should I take that or Lit?

For June 2, I'm signed up for SAT II Chem & Lit. I heard that Lit was impossible though...and now I just found out what the "E" in Bio (E) stands for! XD

So can anyone tell me if the Ecological Bio Subject Test is much like the AP Environmental Science test? I just took the APES exam today (on the make-up day; it conflicted w/Chem, so I took Chem first), and thought it was phenomenally easy :D (err....not to be immodest....but you know what I mean? >.O)

Anyway, I did take AP Language this year and do pretty well on those questions, but I didn't do very well on the SAT CR. I tend to way-overanalyze (even though I know that Lit asks for much deeper answers - yet it bugs me that they seem pretty inconsistent. Sometimes they want the obvious answer, and sometimes they don't!)

Also, if it carries any weight, art & English are my passions, so I'm going to write about them in my college apps. (I just hate the English parts of SATs, is all! >:P.) But then I've heard that colleges really don't care about the "breadth" of your Subject Test scores - just your scores themselves. (So I'm assuming that it shouldn't matter if my 3 Subject Tests are Math II, Chemistry, and Bio E...)

Anyway, is there anything (or much) on Bio E that's not on APES? I'll check out a prep book anyway, if people here say that they're similar - it's just that I'm thinking I probably shouldn't consider it if people say that there's loads of stuff exclusive to the Subject Test.....(like is there much Molecular Bio on it, or is Bio E REALLY all Ecology?!)

Only 15 or so questions are "E". The rest of the questions are the same on both the "E" and "M" tests.

You will have to study bio to do good. APES will not get you a good score. Most of the test is not from APES.

Oooh ok. Thank you SOOO much for the tip!! :D

I won't be taking it then - never took AP Bio! Glad I didn't go & deprive someone of the library's Bio E book then :). (If they even have one, that is...heh.)

It is below AP Bio level, but it is definitely self-studyable.

no idea about bio, but for lit I would suggest getting a real test from collegeboard and practising with that. If you read a lot and you're passionate about English, you're pretty much golden. Lit you can't really study for. I thought it was pretty easy and I did well without studying. Also, I believe it's rather different from the critical reading section, so...take a practise test, and see how you do. you might be pleasantly surprised.
