Background info:
Biology - Took Honors two years ago, did well in it (95% year round).
Chemistry - Took Honors last year, also did well in it (97% year round). I preferred chem to bio since it was more math based.
Physics - Took AP this year, totally kicked my butt. I think I got a 3 on the AP exam. Buuut, it is the most fresh in my mind.
Which test should I take? I am more of an equations-solving person than a conceptual one, though I am good with memorization (which I assume what Bio would be like).
You answered your question. SAT II chemistry
Problem is is that I heard the SAT II Chem test is comparable to the AP Chem test, which is super difficult. Also, my knowledge of chem is pretty rusty as I learned it last year.
In life, you have to take some difficult tests. Just live up and study hard.
My sons found it easier to get a high score on the Biology SAT II than the Chemistry. This probably had something to do with the fact that the Biology teacher at their school teaches the material thoroughly, and the Chemistry teacher doesn’t. If you can, find out which test the kids at your school do better on. Be sure to study one of the review books and take practice tests first.
I am more of a math person too, and I got 780 in SAT Chem and 5 in AP Chem. I am gonna take AP Physics 1 this year and from what I heard it is super hard.
It seems like you are a math person too, so I would recommend that you take SAT Chem or SAT Physics depending on which one you feel more comfortable with refreshing. I completely forgot biology from freshman year, and since you took it in the beginning too, it might be easier for you to remember chem and physics more.
Good luck!
