SAT II Chem - Barrons. What's a good score on practice tests?

I'm using Barron's to prepare for SAT II Chem December 2nd, and I was wondering what score on the practice tests would project a 750+ on the real thing. Thanks :)

umm.i tried that book before my chem test and normally get around like 690-750ish. and i scored a 700 on the test even though i felt like the test was much easier >.<. If you use the kaplan chem book, its more realistic to the real one.

i scored two 700's and two 750's on the four tests in the back of the barron's book. i ended up with a 780 on the real thing. :)

Cool, thanks :)
I scored 2 "680-700" and 1 "720-750". Gonna take the 4th one soon.

Anyone know if Barrons chem tests are harder than the actual thing? I just got the book and scored a “700-720” on the diagnostic. Is this test realistic compared to the real thing?

By the way, I know this thread is very old. It really doesn’t matter (either that or I start my own thread) ;)

Same I think for my daugher.

Barron’s book is somewhat harder than the real thing, and that being said, its tests are also somewhat inaccurate. Additionally, Barron’s curves are somewhat more generous than the real SAT.

On the real SAT Chem, you can miss between 2-4 (out of 90) before dropping down from 800 (~ -10 score for every 1 point below the 800 threshold)

Sorry i know this is off topic but how does Barron’s ACT book compare to the real test? Harder, easier?

@Hockeydude664, you’re better off asking this question in a separate thread in the ACT test prep forum

rkanan, are you sure? first of all, there are only 85 questions, right?

I’ve been taking the Barron’s practice tests and I got 780, 790, 770, and 800. I also took 2 of the Kaplan test and I got a 770 and 780. Is it feasible for me to get an 800 on the real test that is in 2 days?
