[SAT II Chemistry] Which chemical formulas to memorize?

Which chemical formulas should I memorize? Which are the most common ones I should know from the heart? Ammonia? Ammonium? Acetate?

I'm still finding it hard to remember the charges for transition metal ions such as iron ions. Which are the main ones I should just know?

I'd like to know too.....

I'm studying for SAT II Chem too, and so far as I know, you need to know all your polyatomic ions (Phosphate, sulfate, sulfite, chromate, dichromate, cyanide, acetate, etc.) but I hadn't heard of memorising charges on transition metals - that sounds too hard

After working alot with the transition metals/polyatomic ions in chem class, I would expect most people to have them basically memorized anyway.

JMHO

some you should have memorized.. like cd, ag, the more common ones
