SAT II Korean advice needed

Hi:
My DD became interested in Korean/Kpop and started learning the language. We are not Korean/Asian. She is at a intermediate-low level of Korean language fluency. She wanted to do the SAT 2 Korean language this past Nov 2013. I gave her a practice test and she scored around 450, so she decided to skip it this time and work more on her Korean skills so that she can take the test in Nov 2014.

I could not find good SAT 2 Korean language prep books or resources. What are the best ways to prepare for this test?

I understand this test is usually taken by native Korean speakers which causes the score curve/average to be very high. This seems to be a disadvantage for a non-native speaker. Am i correct? So when the adcoms see my DD's score, will they take this into consideration?

Any advice on how she can prepare as much as possible for this test?

Thank you!

because there aren’t reallly any prepbooks or resources designed for the test, she should just be trying to improve her korean, without the test in mind as a goal, and this will help her prepare for the test .

yes you are correct, and the adcoms will take this into consideration

look basically to prepare for this test your daughter should study like any language learner would
there are thousands of language learning tips online and so I won’t really talk about how you should learn a language
but stop thinking about the test and just try to have her improve her korean everyday
