SAT II Math Level Two May 2012

OHHH yes i remember now.
And yes i’m 100% sure it’s .7
Can someone compile a list of known answers… :(

what did u guys get for the standard deviation question with the average grade and sample grade?

you could’ve just plugged and chugged for the ln one… if forgot what the question was though

I think I may get 770-790, should I cancel it?
I’m retaking it on June, and…

It was A for the standard deviation one. You had to calculate the z-score for each one.

for the hyperbola one did anyone use the cordinates given in the lines themselvs?

**** i put (0,0) …

I did.
I got -5,0 or something like that.

@studious, a was the one that was like 84 75 s = 3 right? something like that?

i had forgotten how to calculate z score…ugh

^I put -5,0 as well.

What did you guys get for that one that was f(x,-y) = ? I put that it equaled the same thing as the f(x,y)

@BART2385 same

cuz -y squared is same thing as y squared

hmmmmmm i dont remember -5,0…

^yup thats what i got

i didn’t put -5,0 cause i thought it was like a tangent line or something like that to the parabola

I got that f(x, -y)=f(x,y).

(-5,0) as well (it was where the lines intersected)

what did people get for the circle tangent to the x and y axis?

Yeah, the z-score was 3. (84-75)/3 = 3. And that was the highest.

The hyperbola center was (-5,0).

This is great! I haven’t gotten one wrong yet. Did anyone get the X and Y migration one? I just skipped it because I thought it would take too much time.

@infamous, 3.14
anyone? standard deviation? what were the values?

EDIT: nevermind, thanks.

For all of you arguing over the range question, 6.5 didn’t work because the question stated that “t” had to be an integer.

does anyone remember any other questions that hasn’t been mentioned in this thread yet? i wanna see if i got them right

@swoony, no im not talking about the one that was like (x^2/16)+(y^2/25). This is the one that asked like “A circle touches both the x and y axes at one point. What is the center of the circle?”
