SAT II Math Level Two May 2012

I’m in 10th, so I’ll see where you get in and make my college decisions based on that. Hahaha

Is anyone here an international student?

If I really misread the question, I would go shoot myself…the stem graph question was one of the easiest questions on the test

My test definitely said median. I double-checked. Hope for two forms!

Lol, i forgot how a stem and leaf plot worked. Last time i did one of those was about 6 years ago lol, ■■■ if it was really that easy… there’s goes 1 raw point lol

What math 2 score would be good for Columbia university?

780+ would be great. But if you get a little lower, it’s not a big deal.

@Kyle you have to take into account that an 800 is about 87th percentile…

wait guy what were the options for the regression problem? It was either answers C or D i think… they were really close…
I put C and i can’t remember the exact number but it was 22. something… i might have gotten it wrong since i remember 22.2?

^ something like 22.4

It was 22.4. I think that was choice D.

Can anyone explain the one about the circle and triangles?
I believe the angle was 30, the length of the tangent was 3, and the radius was 1.

EDIT: ahh nevermind, I got 3.20 because I took the sin instead of tan. Wow I feel dumb, haha, right now I think I’m at 3 omit and 1 wrong.

To help with figuring out the curve, how many of you took the first official test (in either the math-specific CB book or the general CB book for all subject tests)? How did you do on it? I only missed 1 and omitted 1. On this test, I omitted 3, and it looks like I missed 1. This leads me to believe that this test is harder than that one (which has a curve at 44+ = 800). How did you guys do, comparatively?

I think the curve will be around 42-43+ = 800. The May test was definitely harder than the one in the blue book

okay so im at 4 omit and 1 wrong…

I studies with spark notes and it was easier. No logs, limits, or trig functions. Just how I like it :)

for one of the answers did anyone get 3.1415116 or something like that for one of the questions?

yep it was really close to pi, that’s how i remember

for the median question u guys were discussing yesterday, didn’t it say t is an integer in the question? cuz i tried both 6.5 and 11 and i saw "interger"so i chose 11 = =

for another one did anyone get 4.86?
