I took 2 sat iis (math II and chem) and I got a 660, and 610. I know Georgetown wants 3, and I am not sure if I should just try to raise those two, or those two and add another one, or just send none...do they really matter in the admission process?

Yeah they do matter, especially for georgetown. Most competitive applicants will have 3 subject tests with 750+ each. I got into with 750 ush, 780 bio, 800 math II. I highly suggest you retake your current two which an additional test

Bump…please more opinions!

If Georgetown requires three subject tests then you have to submit three! I found it very difficult to do 3 subject tests in one sitting. I tried 3 the first time, and the second time only took 2. While that was easier, I just couldn’t do well on the subject tests to save my life. Not a single one was above a 700, but I was still able to get into Cornell University’s College of Arts and Sciences, which required two. So I would try to raise your scores if possible, because yes the tests do matter, but they are not the most important part of your application.

Well, they strongly suggest you have three subject tests for Georgetown. Why do you think you should only send in two? They want three.
Also, these scores are low for Georgetown. Over 700 on all three should be your goal.
While these are not the most important part of your application, they do count. How is the rest of your application (SAT, ACT, GPA, etc…). Do you have the stats for Georgetown?

I think I am good on the stats. I have a 34 on the act, and a 3.94 gpa. I go to a rigorous hs in mississippi, I’m involved (and president) in a lot of

Activities and I’m Iranian

Three SAT IIs

I would study for and take your lower test again with a new one. Leave the 660 Math on the table unless you have time to study it later. Having said that, my son took that Math II again after studying and replaced his 670 with a 760.

@kjamasbi - Georgetown requires you to report all scores, including all SAT subject test scores, from all sittings. http://uadmissions.georgetown.edu/firstyear/preparation#TestRequirements. So you have to report your 660 and 610. If Georgetown is truly your dream school and first choice, I would try the subject tests again. It might be different if you had two scores in the 700’s and wanted to apply EA. Then maybe you could skip the third test. But if you really want to put yourself in the best posture, I would prep and take at least two more subject tests in October if you want to do EA, or November if you’re doing RD. There’s lots of good info on the SAT subject test forum about inexpensive prep books. The rest of your app seems good, but you will be competing against applicants with similar stats plus 3 subject tests in the 700’s+.

I was accepted with two scores very similar to those and then a mid 700s score on another test. I’d argue for taking a third test and doing really well on it.
