SAT II scores - what's the lowest respectable score

<p>OP here. The score was a 680-about what we both expected. The test was sandwiched between his two jazz choir shows and his Eagle project. It probably would have been better for him to take it in June, but his choir has to sing for graduation that day and there is only time for him to take out test that morning (he’s doing Math II.)</p>

<p>For colleges that require Subject Test scores, I disagree. Strong Subject Test scores can help to offset a not-as-strong SAT.</p>

<p>I agree with lolcats4 and Ernie H and Gabs91.
For most schools, I think that
Scores over 700 will help you.
Scores in the 600’s are neutral; won’t hurt you but won’t help much.
Scores below 600 look bad.</p>

<p>That’s why I mentioned that one factor is the score’s relationship to other scores is a factor. If one scores a 600 on SAT I math and a 700 on SAT II Math IIc, that might negate the SAT I score.</p>
