Hi everyone, I’ll be taking the SAT II Spanish test (reading only) so I can finish my degree. I’m hoping to not have to spend 2 more semesters just to complete the language requirement! The minimum passing score is 430 so my question is, how easy is it to get that score? I spent summers in Mexico as a child and had two years in high school (nearly 20 years ago) but since being an adult, my Spanish has been limited to a bit of “Spanglish” with family and translating family documents for genealogical work. I joined Duolingo to try and brush up and so far I’m at level 12. I’ll be purchasing a book to go over the practice tests, but without knowing what the grading is like I’m not sure how difficult a 430 will be. Thanks for any help!
@jtorres84 If you know any Spanish at all, you can get a 430. A 430 is approximately in the 4th percentile of scores, meaning that 96% of people that take the test score at or above a 430. Considering your Spanish background, it won’t be hard to get a 430
Thanks so much @lhw1998! That’s what I was hoping to hear!
@jtorres84 best of luck!!
thanks!!
