SAT II US History Self Study

So I'm going to teach myself US History and then take the SAT subject test in the fall. Does anyone have any tips for going about this? I know there are several SAT USH books (Barrons, Princeton Review, etc.), which one do you think is closest to the actual test? Thanks!

p.s. my high school history classes have been terrible, so I know very little about history. Therefore, i need to learn everything from the beginning again.

I am doing the same. I will be reading through AMSCO (made for the AP test) and then Kaplan.

Get the AMSCO book. It’s the equivalent of an AP course textbook. Other threads said that Barron’s test are harder, and Sparknotes’ is very easy.
