SAT II vs. APs

I am starting to think about my testing schedule for next year, which will include 2-3 SAT IIs as well as 3-4 AP exams.

I am wondering about the differences and similiarities between AP exams and SAT IIs in corresponding subjects, especially SAT Lit and AP Lit, and APUSH and SAT US, as well as languages.

How did you study differently?
Is studying for one or the other beneficial for both?
Which one is harder?

I've often hear that SAT IIs are more straight-forward, is this true?

And information or personal opinions on the differences would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. :)

Yeah dude many ppl say that SAT 2’s are just like “honors-honors” rather than AP college-level courses. As such, preparing just enough for an SAT 2 is not adequate for the AP exam, but preparing for the AP exam is actually kind of overkill for the SAT 2. so pretty much stick w/ ur AP curriculum, and u’ll be set for both.

AP exams are harder than the SAT II.

Taking an AP course in Biology will increase your chances of doing well in SAT II Biology.
