Can someone please briefly outline the general differences between AP tests and SATII subject tests?

AP goes more in depth, has essays, and is college level material. SATII is not as in depth, all multiple choice, and is high school level. No college requires APs for admission, but most top colleges require SATIIs. Both are administered by College Board (who is the devil) so know that the money you spend to take these tests is going to the devil.

lol !

lmao thanks.
Since I have to take the AP exams for my APs in May, I think I might as well take the SATIIs for them too.

Can someone explain to me why, if you take AP exams, you also have to take SAT IIs? It seems redundant to take the AP Bio and the SAT II bio, but the schools don't indicate that you can do the former instead of the latter.

on the contrary, sat II are a lot more in depth . Example : SAT II BIO, SAT II US

Why take SAT IIS and APS? Because its good for you, and most colleges (assuming you dont want to to go CommCollege) require 2 SatIIs.

AP exams are much more difficult than SAT II Subject Tests. You can get a 2 or a 3 on an AP and get a 700-800 on the same SAT II test.

...it's weird...ap test=more in-depth....sat ii=harsher curve

i've heard both things--people doing better on ap than sat of same subject and vice versa
