SAT II World History

Hey guys,

So SAT scores came out today, and I got a 680 on my World History SAT II.
I know that most colleges accept score choice when applying, but schools that I look forward to going to, such as UPenn and Cornell don't accept score choice.

Ultimately, I have 2 questions-

Will this 680 greatly affect my chances of getting into either UPenn or Cornell ( I know they are elite schools )

If I retake World History, and do better, do I still have to send in my first score?

bump

1) That is really tough, depends on the strength of the rest of your profile. I can’t see it being the only thing that breaks you.
2) Depends on the college and university at hand, their SAT profile will tell you their policy.

@BurgerMan1 what do you mean by “that is really tough”? does that mean it will bring down my admission a lot?

@Metsfan9 No, it’s just hard to gauge how each school views it. Some schools consider SAT II’s to be very important, while others don’t use them at all.
You’d need to do some web surfing or wait for a guru in order to find out what it means for each school.
