<p>On the October test, I got a 790. But when I got the thing in the mail, it said I got a 9 on the writing section, and missed 4 mc questions. How is this possible? did anyone else have a similar breakdown?

<p>What i meant was that i don't understand why my score isn't lower. Based on a 9/12 & 4 missed Qs, I would have thought more in the 730-750 range... Especially on the essay, I thought it was weighted to be about 1/3 of the final score? I guess I thought to get a near-perfect score, the essay would have to be 11 or 12.</p>

well from what ive seen and heard. i had a frd who got 9 also and he got PERFECT on the multople choice, he got 790, theres this also other frd who got 9 also and omitted 4 questions and managed to squeeze through and get 790. u and him prob just hit the generous scale~</p>
