Schools including Amherst state that they will require two SAT II test results in addition to SAT I. As we all know The College Board sends all results of all tests taken. Are we to presume that Amherst and or other colleges are not looking at the SAT IIs that aren’t your best two? I got 760 on one test and 740 on another and that’s what I want them to focus on. However I got in the 600’s on the other two. Should the schools disregard the lower two tests? As my dad says it may be like a judge asking a jury to disregard an objectionable comment made by a witness that the jury has heard. What do you all think?

I'm pretty (99%) sure that they only look at your 2 highest SAT IIs. So, don't worry!

Do what you can to control the info they get. If it is an option, don't let your high school put your SAT II scores on your transcript. When you fill out the applications, only put in your two highest SAT IIs, not all three (assuming the school only requires two).

From what I can tell, there are many students who take the SAT I many times and take many SAT IIs too. My thought is that the colleges must often see a bewildering scatter of scores. I wonder, in fact, whether the admissions committees ever see all the actual scores, or just the highest ones (pre-selected by the computer program or a clerk). In any event, they'd probably have to search through the file to find your one glitch, so just don't do anything to highlight it.

And then relax. Lots of great applicants have a little glitch here and there. Just because most of them don't include the unnecessary (and low) third or fourth SAT II score on their CC profile doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
