SAT IIs for UCs

I am thinking about continuing my studies in Korean at the university.. so I am considering taking the Listening test this November.. for placement? Is this necessary? I would also take Mathematics Level 2.. and I already have Biology M that I took in May. And I know UCs only count the two highest tests.. I got 800 on Biology.. and I would probably score higher on Korean than Math because I am Korean and I have been studying the language for more than 8 years and I am horrible at math..

Should I even try to take Math Level 2?

i suggest if u can get 650+ on math, then take it rather than korean.

Get the Barron for SAT I book. It has a great review for basic math like Algebra and Geometry. Then get the PR math 2 book and go through that book. Finally get the Barron SAT math 2 and work through that book.

It's a little bit long, but for students who are not so strong at math this is almost a sure way to get that 800.

knowing that UCs only count the 2 highest scores, how much of a benefit would u guys think there is in taking more SATIIs? and if u take more but do badly on them, would u rather have not taken them at all? TIA

IMO, UCs are very numbers oriented and process a ton of applications. I'd say they take the top two and move on, as they don't have to time to do an in-depth analysis on each applicant's testing patterns.

The UCs don't even allow you to enter more than two scores on the app; they don't want to see more than two.

btw: I would not be surprised if the UC drops the subject test requirement entirely, but it will not do so for the class of '09.

Second that. UCs laid the groundwork to distance themselves from SAT and other standardized tests a few years ago.

but 09's safe for sure? cuz i don't want all this effort to go to waste lol
