SAT January 2012 (Paleontology, film adaptations, cameras in courtrooms passages)

I took it from past US test. but I think all of the answers should be correct but I disagree with some. Probably Im wrong though

well… since i suck at cr… I can’t disagree… who was is posted by? can you give me the link cuz the test’s thread had a lot of lists. I guess this one was the final one they agreed on right? which page was it, and who posted it??

@333770 can’t you elaborate further

“Both authors agree media coverage of courts could be educational”
Is educational supposed to be “instructive”? Because that’s what I remember and what I put down. And is that harsh curve confirmed? Sigh. Are the curves always exactly reused? That’s going to make me rue mixing up ‘chagrin’ and 'indignation" even more.

if CB are ##@%$^ to repeat a test, then it would be just “fair” to repeat the curve as well… if we are taking their trash, we might as well get graded like the others were… uuugh… this is all bulls#$% to stat with… but seriously, it’s common sense same test, same curve… they don’t bother “inventing” questions for us bro… it’ll be the same exact thing… sadly

how do you know the curve??? so is january 26 2013 sat curve bad???

@junbug418: yes the curve is effing harsh. Normally it would go like this 800 800 800 790/780- and so on. but this time -2 gets you a 780 and -3 drops to 740. This is bulls*it man.

and is the curve really confirmed? Isn’t that EXTREMELY EXTREMELY HARSH?

Hold on I’m rechecking the March results thread and some are saying that the consolidated list has a few answers wrong? Can anyone confirm this? Who wrote the consolidated list btw?

Hey is the curve 800 800 780 and such confirmed? Or is it still speculation of the former test takers in March 2010? If this is actually the curve, I am going to punch my screen and then burn the world.

P.S: sorry for the triple posts T^T

punch ur screen and burn the world… or just the CB office… ehem… u didn’t hear that from me… :P

@mariobalotelli I am sorry I don’t like balotelli! He always seems arrogant.

Okay, coming to your question, there is no choice as “educational”. So I’m assuming that it is “instructive”. BTW it’s what I had put down and I think it’s the right answer.

If the curve is THAT harsh, then I think I will have to shed tears and lose my hopes of scoring above 2200 :(

me too… :frowning: don’t call me by name anymore, would be extremely paradoxical :frowning: :frowning: :(

LOL to 2***andbeyondxD =)) don’t worry. At least you have someone in the same boat with you =P

Seriously, could someone please confirm the curve for me? I don’t know if it is just speculation or confirmation anymore. The former test takers in 2010 didn’t get the curve confirmed themselves right? Is there any chance that the curve is more lenient for internationals :((

Reading curve will be same, nothing we can do about that…

But writing curve will be different because the essay was different.

o ho ho ho…

To whoever determined this ridiculous curve:

ring ring

CB officer: Hello?
Me: I don’t know who you are but I will find you, and I will kill you…

Just kidding

but seriously…

how can the curve be so freaking harsh? I mean, the dual passage was really time-consuming T^T I hate this!! HATE HATE HATE

How is that proposed curve confirmed? Where are you getting this info?

Sent from my HTCAmaze4G using CC

I just want there to be a math curve. I thought everything else wasn’t too bad. :frowning: Dream of getting 2000 or more? I think not anymore.

Math, I hate you.

What was the essay prompt for January 2013 international SAT? Wasn’t it the same as March 2010?

@minnan… I just hope it won’t be 1***andlessX( :/
