<p>Don't worry about the percentile -- your actual score (or score range, nowadays) is what's most important. Percentile is more of an indication of the harshness of the curve and I guess colleges may consider it when judging the difficulty of one subject over another. For individuals though, take the test(s) that you can do best on score-wise. </p>
<p>For math 2, 760 will be a lower percentile than on a test with a very harsh curve. Still, I don't think anyone will penalize you for that score/percentile.</p>
<p>I highly doubt colleges will look to exact percentiles, or compare based on percentiles instead of scores, but they likely have an idea of which tests tend to be harsher.
In terms of whether a 720 in Lit would be a higher or lower percentile than a 760 in Math II, I don't know...it may also vary by test date, as I would not be surprised if the two were close together.</p>
