How hard is the literature test? I took AP english language and composition this past year and scored a 4 on the exam. Are the multiple choice questions on the SAT literature hrader than the ones on the AP Exam? Are they harder than Barons AP reading questions?
Thanks!
No. Subject Tests are at a HS level; AP exams test at the college level.
So if I was able to succeed on the AP exam do you think I have a chance to do well on the subject test? Hoping for 650+
The literature subject test is a bit of a misnomer; it’s really CR on steroids. How did you do on CR?
680
Then, in theory, with some prep, you should be able to do 650+.
Ok. Which prep book do you think I should use?
I’m not sure it really matters. My brother uses Barron’s and did well, FWIW.
My son just got a 5 on the AP Lit exam, but only a 700 on the Lit subject test. He got 36 on both ACT CR and ACT English. So, hard to say… He did worse on the lit subject test than any other test.
Is 710 an okay score for SAT Literature? Should I omit it? I also got a 790 in math level 2 and chemistry, so it just seems so low next to them. But the percentile is roughly the same. I’m asking in the context of a top private school.
I got 740 in SAT Literature but 800 in Math and 800 in Biology. Should I omit Literature score? I am applying to some top schools.
