I consistently score from 760 to 800 in mathematics section, but is there a way I can nail down 800 with certainty? I have taken slightly more than 10 CB-released tests, and the last few points are starting to get on my nerves. Those points are usually costing my 2300.

Obviously you know all the required content very well, it’s simply a matter of exam technique. I found it helpful to completely redo a question (using another method if possible) when checking answers since a silly-error is easily remade on the same question due to memory.

Two tips that helped immensely for me.

Always write your work; this means even if it’s an easy question.

Check your work with a different method than the one you used for orginally for the problem.

If you do these for for every question, I guarantee you that you’ll get an 800.

How do you guys overcome the barrier of trick questions? I think I get things right, but then it turns out there was some trick and I did it wrong :(

^

Follow my post above. If you get the same answer with two different methods, it is highly unlikely that it will be wrong.
