I also got 190
I got a 800 on the last practice test, but today I omitted 7 questions! I probably got 5 wrong on top of that! :(( There were so many trig and probability questions that I didn’t know. Should I cancel my score and try my luck again or keep it and see what I get?
@photogeek8 Depends. That is most likely a 730. If you’re applying to a top tier i would definitely suggest a re-take.
I also thought that there was a printing mistake for the linear regression one.
@photogeek8
800 on what practice test? the CB ones are easier than the real tests.
If you thought there was a printing error on the linear regression question, you don’t know much about linear regression. The point of the question was to give you an x value not listed (in the form of a chicken sandwich), and then you use regression to find the y values
What do you guys think will be the 800 cut-off this time. 44 or 43?
@Anubis13
What did you get on the John Chung’s tests?
I couldnt take this test due to weather and wondering if 800s on John Chung will ensure a 800 on the real thing?
@anon9362
Even if they do, I feel like you will be at a disadvantage because they would be almost done with their admission decisions then… sorry
@YoLolololol
I don’t think anything really ensures an 800, but I ended up getting a 770 on my fifth and last test, which I took the night before. This test was funny easy. Like I had 40 minutes left at the 30th question after working really hard in Dr. Chung. I promise you, this test is a joke if you’re good at math and have a calculator with nsolve
@Anubis13
Haha thanks. I’ve gotten 4 800s and 770,760 on my Chungs practice tests…
I will def find the real test easy right? Lol
@YoLolololol
If you want my very best advice, I recommend getting enough sleep, being relaxed but focused, and knowing how to use your calculator’s nsolve and graphs to solve basically everything. Review or learn stupid things like polar functions, parametric functions, etc. I was lazy and just typed conic sections into my calculator as well as other things I felt I could forget.
Ultimately, focus on being ready to solve problems. Math is about problem solving through the application of concepts, as is physics. (I’m majoring in physics and found this test and practice tests for math 2 to be very very fun)
yeah I know @YoLolololol… and I really needed this
Hi everyone! I also took the test today and found it relatively okay except for the a few questions. Would any of you know around what score I could expect if I skipped 5 and got 2-4 wrong?
Best case scenario: Omit 5 Miss 2 = raw score of 42.5=43 should be about 790~800. (If the exam was hard like the some of the other people have reported you have a good shot at 800 imo)
Worst case scenario: Omit 5 Miss 4= raw score of 41 770~780.
Hope the curve is on your side
what was the answer to the probability question?
@Anubis13 OMG yeah! Dammit should have done the regression question so silly of me xD and the chord question one side is sinθ and the other side is 1-cosθ
I had done John Chung last time and was getting early 700s in the practice tests. I got 770 in the actual test and I found John Chung a true waste of time it had a lot of extra information that never will/did show up in the test. This time I did Barron’s and I found it more helpful than John Chung for the test
@DaVinciII I think you have mistaken me for someone else. I did physics in November and have got an 800
I would also like to know what others got for the probability question with the numbers.
Hey guys, do you remember what the answer to the cone questions and the number of solutions for absolute value were?
Also, I’m pretty sure I got the first 35, but I panicked in the end and omitted 3 and missed 1, how many can I miss to get an 800, on a good curve.
Thank!
