Which books are best for SAT II preparation. Is Barron's recommended?

yh. i have barrons…its alright

barron’s is good…I used McGraw-Hill and got 800…it’s at the level you will probably see on the test, but it’s generally not recommended as much because it’s so easy. Barron’s is usually more difficult than the actual test so the actual test seems easy by the time you take it…good luck! I’m sure you’ll do fine

Use Barron’s. If you get a low score on the practice test, you may feel disappointed. However, when the real test comes around, you’ll probably do really well! Maybe 800.

Good luck! (:

Barron’s is horrible in my opinion. The practice tests aren’t just a little harder than the actual test, but ridiculously more difficult. Your preparation should be more challenging, but the subjects covered in Barron’s are often not even touched on in the actual test. IIRC, I skipped 8-10 and missed about 5 in each of the Barron’s practice tests I took, but in the actual test I only had to skip 2 and missed 1.

NO on Barrons. Way harder than the actual test, does nothing to take their practice tests.
