I’m class of 2017. I am planning to take the sat two times before the change and then two or three times after the change depending on how I do the first time. Is this too much? I know three is the reg but now that it’s changes should I take it four or five so I can be exposed to both tests?
It depends. If you can handle it financially and you think you’d do well/improve substantially each time, why not? But I would only try and do it once before the change, and then once after, then decide if I would retake, probably only once.
@IrisShadow I want to take the old SAT once because there is a lot of prep materials available. If I do well on the old one, but worse on the newer one, how do you think a college would view that?
They know that the SAT is revised, and the lower score wasn’t because you slacked off, but because the new test would leave people with less prep material.
