SAT October 2013 - International Students

@thinktry …most of the content was unnecessary…that’s sure for certain
yes and innocuous is correct

So the SC list we’ve got so far is

“sanguine… resilience”

about comets and meteors “emanates”

“facsimiles…credible”

“inane…arduous”

“redress…palliative”

“stilted…affectation”

“vacillated between”

“implied”
-"innocuous

Any other SC answers!! :3

@wissam25: Disillusionment is correct. The astronaut was disillusioned because of the Space Odyssey 2001 fantasy :P

@abhi30196: delete the sentence is correct

@thinktry I had the first 2 questions. The third one i’m 80% sure I didnt have it. The fourth one I’m 100% sure is experimental.

In Improving paragraphs what did you guys put in the question that asked after which sentence to put the following sentence (can’t remember the sentence) I remember I put After Sentence 1 but I doubt it’s the right answer.

@ flaker003, thanks for your answer.

I don’t remember having ‘after sentence 1’ as an answer, after 9 or 11 maybe.

Oh and do you remember the tick mark question that they ask for w ? (math)

I think the tick mark question asked for z instead and I put 50 as my answer

Thanks, and why are you so sure about the experimental section ?

Cuz I had experimental reading section instead of math, and the only scatterplot I got was about prices, not a family haha.

@flaker003 silly me :">

So how do you guys think your scores might be ?

I know… but i heard that the international sat on October 5 was the same as US March sat!!! Is this true?

what did you guys put in paragraph improving question with Nevertheless?do we have to delete it.i did not change it

@ oceanqueen: I just checked out the March 2013 US sat thread and some parts are the same, at least the ‘classical music’ double passages and some sentence completions like ‘sanguine - resilience’ and ‘redress…palliative’.
So it’s true I guess.

@ HIGHTOTALH: I remember vacillating between ‘not change’ and change the first word into ‘moreover’.
Do you remember the sentence a bit more detailed ?

I changed it with ‘Moreover’ at the beginning.

it was:nevertheless,the cartographers …

A guy just told me he deleted it,and is pretty convinced about it.
I replaced ‘Nevertheless’ with ‘Moreover’,because I felt the information was quite relevant.
I only deleted the one about the inventor.

It seems that the Writing score is usually harder to guess thanh CR and Math because the answers are harder to remember.
How can I wait for 15 more days :frowning:
Btw, did anyone take the March test and remember the writing mistakes ?

internationals cant take march sat

@HIGHTOTALH: thanks I didn’t know that. Is there any other month that int’ls cannot take the test ?

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/1460034-march-2013-sat-discussion.html

Does anybody here remember the question having ‘shopper’ and ‘diner’ as answers?
People in other threads are discussing about it and I have no idea what they were referring to!
I think the question was in the classical music passage!

@ Evets06: I found this article online: “This morning, for me, it was Sibelius’s Fifth; late last night, Dylan’s “Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands”; tomorrow, it may be something entirely new.” (passage 2 about classical music)
Basically, the question asked for a similar situation, the ‘diner’ situation was something like: a diner that eats according to moods.
Can you summarize the writing questions that were discussed, I can’t seem to find many !
