Does ND have a preference? I know on their website it says they do not, but do you think they have one?

No, just submit your best score for either one.

Thanks, I’ve just heard that a 2250+ on SAT looks better than 34+ on ACT. I am doing much better on ACT practice tests. I should be able to get that 34+ score but not a great SAT score. So I shouldn’t be worried?

ND is in the Midwest, which tends to get more ACTs

Just concentrate on the test that is more to your liking. My daughter got in EA and she sat for both the ACT and SAT but figured out really quickly that the SAT was more to her liking so she focused on that. 34 is an amazing ACT score, don’t focus on what test looks better. The test with the highest score looks the best. Good luck.

If they had a preference for one test over the other, here’s what they would do: state on their website that they have a preference for one over the other. If they didn’t have a preference, they would clearly state so (this is, in fact what they have done). Here’s what I cant imagine them doing under any circumstances: having a preference and then deliberately misleading applicants on their website by stating that they DON’T have a preference. I know it’s easy to get all crazy and paranoid as you navigate the stressful college application process, but a college like Notre Dame has every reason to be gracious and forthcoming in its communication with prospective students.
