In your opinion, what's harder? The SAT or the ACT (and it would also help if you told me what your experiences were like for both of them)?

SAT I would say is harder. In the end it really depends on your personal skills. The SAT has more vocab questions while the ACT has more overall questions per time given. I ended up choosing ACT after a low PSAT score. I feel the ACT was more similar to the yearly state tests that I have been taking since 5th grade so it was more comfortable.

SAT I feel like is more knowing the test and how the questions are phrased whereas ACT is more content based (besides Science).
I definitely felt the SAT was easier when I took it and thought the ACT was impossible, like I didn’t finish two sections and barely finished the third.
However, I received a 2090 on SATs and a 34 on ACTs (roughly equivalent to a 2250) the first time with comparable amounts of studying. I’d say try both once and see if there’s a clear winner for you like there was for me

You should definitely try both. Most people would do similarly in both test while some would perform better in one test or the other. My D did pretty much the same in practice tests for both but scored better in the real ACT test.

Try both for sure. I always thought I would do better on the sat and I ended up scoring an 1800. After that my friend convinced me to try the act and I managed to get a 34. Definitely glad I tried both and I’d recommend everyone try each at least once.
