SAT OR ACT?

I took a mock SAT in June 2015 in Y2 Academy and got 1210 (I was a junior). I studied with them until September 2015. Then in November 2015, I took the real SAT and got 1510 (Reading: 500/ Math: 530/ Writing: 480). Then I retook it in January 2016 and got 1470 (Reading: 460/ Math: 510/ Writing: 500). I got an 8 for both the SAT essays. Then I studied for the ACT with no tutors or help (besides friends) and took the real ACT in June 2016 and got a 22 (English: 22/ Math: 26/ Math: 20/ Science: 20). I did not get my essay back yet, however I think I did bad/okay because the essay prompt was not what I had expected. Now my parents want me to retake either the SAT or ACT, but I have no idea which one to take and don’t really want to take it. Can someone give me advice for my situation? I am going to be a senior in September 2016 and going to retake either SAT or ACT or both in September. I was thinking of getting Prep Scholar to help study since I can’t study by myself and am overwhelmed when people are in the same classroom as me doing better than me lol. Help me!

It seems like the Science section isn’t helping your composite at all, and since you’re studying for Reading, English, and Math anyway, why study for an extra section? Take the SAT. Though, I must say that SAT Math is a bit harder than old SAT Math/ACT Math. Additionally, there are more reading questions. Take a practice new SAT and review your score, post it here. I converted your score (JAN 2016) and it seems like your 1470 equates to a 20 ACT. Therefore, it seems like I’m contradicting myself, but you took that test 5 months ago. Maybe your [up to date] SAT score would equate to an ACT score higher than 22.
