SAT Physics Score

I scored 760 on the SAT Physics Subject Test. I realize that that is a very good score, but given the fact that the Physics Subject Test has a very lenient curve and my score puts me at the 82nd percentile, I am worried it will be a detriment to my college applications to such schools as MIT, Chicago, Rice, etc. I should also add that I plan to major in physics and most likely pursue a Ph.D. in the field.

Is this a valid concern and should I retake or am I just unnecessarily stressing out? (I also scored 5's on both of the AP Physics C exams if that means anything.)

760 is fine. Don’t waste your time.

Well if you tell MIT that you are interested in physics as a major, I’m positive they want to see that you’re ENTHUSIASTIC about physics. I would retake for an 800. A 760 shows that you have some faults in your major.
