SAT Prep Books BESIDE CB

I currently own just the Princeton Review and after reading some posts, seems to be a bad guide, especially the practice tests. Any suggestions besides the CB Book because I am doing the online course now and would like one more book guide to help. I hear the Barron 2400 is great but is geared to those with scores of 2000 or more and want to improve. my score is just 1850 right now. any others would be highly appreciated thanks

Guides are, in my opinion, not the way to master the material. The only way you can master it is by doing practice tests and reviewing every answer(even those you got right!). Do all the Blue Book practice tests, review the answers/explanations, then do the 6 online tests, then dig up some real QAS tests.

mcgraw hill and barrons sat I

No, the PR materials are great. I have both Cracking the SAT and 11 Practice Tests. The strategies have worked very well for me, and the tests are really good. Use the book you got and you'll be fine.

PR is good for both the practice tests and the strategies. The CB doesn't have answer explanations, and PR is really helpful there.

If you have the 2008 one, you're set. You don't need the 2007 one also.

^ I have the older 11 Practice Tests, and I noticed that their CR is NOT the same as CB's CR. They focus on things CR wouldn't focus on in a passage. But maybe the newer version is better? i wonder if it has the same tests as the old version?

oh well i have the 2007 one which was the only one i saw when i bought it about a month and a half ago. is that still decent?

yeah i was kinda thinking the same thing today, they ask certain questionss that CB would probably NEVER ask...but that was only a couple tho
Generally speaking , i hate PR for most books but after finishing the Blue book and most of the barrons book there doesnt seem to be anything else todo (Cept for online course which i m savin for later)

So is PR 11 supposed to be good or not..
