SAT preparation

Hi
My question is if I want to get 750+in sat reading and writing section is it enough to read The Critical Reader for reading and the College panda for writing along with college board blue book .
For scoring perfect 800 in math section is the blue book, Princeton review, barrons practice test along with practicing real test question enough?

No. No one book will get you a 750+ in SAT reading and writing.

What’s “enough” varies widely from one person to the next. Some – maybe most-- simply aren’t born to score a perfect score on this particular test. Maybe they’re born to be a great writer, or singer, or baseball player or mom or accountant or minister or father or uncle, but not to score a 1600 on the SAT.

And no one book, no one practice test will change that.

Agree and disagree with the above. No one book is enough. If any one book could make you score a 750+ everyone would buy it and tutors like me would be out of business. Now if you are already scoring highly, e.g. around a 700, that might be a different story.

As to people being born to score a 1600…I am not so sure. I think people generally have higher level abilities than we suppose. My views on this are quite strong, though, and I won’t share them fully here.

How can I contact you @TheSATTeacher

I found the Critical Reader to be a very good book to help with the reading portion of the SAT exam. I suggest getting the Critical Reader for writing as well because it’s also really good. While you are studying the book, I suggest you take multiple practice tests to see if your score improves.
