SAT problem

I really need help!
i heard that i need to complete 2subject tests to enter some colleges.
im an international student and recently decided to study in the us.im in grade 11(1ere in french system) and took the sat for the first time in may without studying. expect something close to 1150.and.i havent registered for the june SAT. so i only have 3 more times to do the SAT(october november december).i have to do the normal sat 2times at least(after studying) and need 2 subject tests, but i can only do the SAT 3 times .(sat and satsubject are on the same day).i want to apply to BU NYU UCB UMICH UCSD CHICAGO.
with studying im sure i can pull off a 1300+/1600 and 800 on sat french . can i apply.to these colleges with only 1subject test?

You will need 1400+/1600 to enter the game for these schools and a 1500+ for a better chance.

there might still be time to register for the June test, but i wouldn’t take an SAT without practicing the test for at least three weeks.

There are many colleges in the US that do not require the SAT Subject Matter tests. But if you want to apply to those that do, you have plenty of time. Just select the tests you are most comfortable with and practice, practice , practice over the summer Best of Luck.

Also remember that all those schools will take the ACT in liu of the SAT, so that doubles the number of test dates for you. I agree with glido, no need to panic.

SAT Subject French will not count if French is your native language.
You can take 3 SAT-Subjects in one day so no need to worry.
If your LV2 is on the list, it’s a good pick since the test tests about 2-3 years in the language (roughly A2 to B1 level on the CEF, a regular level for Seconde).
Then Math 2 and another subject.
Choosing the third one is tricky. If you’re good at English and are in L with the Literature class, English Language and Literature is a good choice. If youre in S, any of the sciences will be okay. If you’re ES or STMG however you’re stuck since there’s nothing that really matches your studies.
World History imay be your best bet but it will require buying a specific prep book since you won’t have covered large chunks in French school (things related to American history, African history, history of Japan, China, India, or even Great Britain and Russia will be missing; moreover, the French curriculum focuses on contemporary history whereas the test covers all periods.) It’s not difficult to learn but you do need to study specifically for the test.
You can practice over the summer and take the tests in the Fall. But if you really want to, you could try and call the schools that offer the test in June, see if you can take the test as a standby. I believe the test is June 1 and is offered at three schools in Paris, 1 school in the South (if you live in the East, West, or Southwest, you’re basically stuck unless you can get out of school, get a bullet train ticket and a hotel room, and probably find an adult who can go with you…)

I’m sure that you’d do better if the test were administered in french, perhaps take the ESL version of the test or a few IBAs administered in your native tongue?

What were your individual subject scores, (i.e. Comprehension, Math, Writing)?
