I had two grid ins two I hope the first harder one is the exp.

the one about reading in the past and Marx and crap
you wouldn't have gotten it if u didn't get CR experimental

i thought the test was pretty easy
my essay was about rules; and i wrote about hamlet, fahrenheit 451, and the lord of the flies
the experimental section was cr
i think i did alright
:)

there were two different versions of the west coast test as well, i guess

i had four math sections

For the rules one I don't know if I used the most appropriate examples but I think I expanded fairly well on them.

For one example I put the colonists and the British, how the British imposed "stifling statutes" on them and how it they didn't advance society except when they were broken and caused a revolution. Then I wrote about art, specially music, about how Beethoven changed the world of music, caused a "revolution" by breaking the conventions or rules of music. So I don't know. I kind of linked the two examples, but not sure if they're appropriate.

which one is experimental, is it section 6- the explorer?

i got B for the lightning one but i am not sure if we're tlaking about the same choice because i dont think it was long.

i got something like: every building - had its(not theirs) electricity interrupted - during the ice storm: or something like that

east coast, didnt know there were different versions because by the time i get out in the east coast, the west coast should have already started by then

nvm we got different answers
i think i missed that one then
i put the one with "had an interruption"

The writing MC was tricky wasn't it? I left like 4 blank and wasn't sure on A LOT of them.

no i had 4 cr, the same test as you...
yeah now i remember the marx passage, it was the only passage i wasn't alert/focus when doing it.

it was about how today we live in a urban setting and see a large quantity of texts without much depth and w/o giving much thought to them, whereas in the past/rural settings they read fewer texts but studied them and had a deeper understanding or something

guys plz answer the question- is section 6 experimental, because i havd 4 reading passages. I thought it was the hardest section of all.

passage:plant bacterial entering states...
question: 2 percent means what?

answer: that although only two percent is checked alot is found and thus another 98% goes unchecked. (i dont remeber the specifc wording).

passage: explorer
question: kyber pass

answer:a place where its a pleasure to get lost(not sure)

comedy:
question: what are the two passages talking about
answer: passage one talks about how standup comics are futile, while passage 2 talks about (i forgot)

explorer
question: creative foray means

answer: adventurous

explorer
question: what does lost mean according to the author

answer: a girl wandering a forest

mars
question i dont remeber
answer: the argument made in passage 1 would be weakened by the findings in passage 2

ok i know most of my question and answers are not complete or sound right but thats all i remember

okay, lets first try to find out which section was experimental :)

for the rules essay i used an example of a doctor driving and having to stop his car on alongside a red curb because he saw an old lady fall and hit her head...thus by breaking a rule possibly saving her life....and allso the absurd rule of jim crowe laws how frail african americans had to give up their seats on the bus for young whites who would be better off standing...i included rosa parks

in general i made the argument that some rule makers dont take into account the little game called life when they make rules

how do u guys think i did?

My reading had
section 2: 25 questions
section 5: 23 question
section 6: 24 question
section 9: 19 question
So which one should be experimental?

Does anyone know which math open ended section was experimental? The 1st section had a question about the ratio of 3, 17, and 100 (last question), the presidential terms 9 consecutive year, and numbers in group X and group Y. I don't remember any questions from the 2nd open ended section but know it was a lot easier, as I had about 8 minutes to work on the last problem.

i disagree on the one with Khyber Pass. i dont think the paragraph itself said much about pleasure. i put it was a far and remote place

also, for the 2 percent one, i put that it suggested that the gov failed in checking a majority
i agree on all else

Q: The first Morse code question

Q: Morse code 2nd question:
A: to spread

A. Jubilation

A. Aloof

A. Stylistic vitality

A. Pounced
A. Deftly and Unnecessary
A. Demagogue (probably wrong)
A. Hackneyed
A. Discreet
A. Galling
A. Explosive and Placid

experimental was definitely the one about the reading/marx/depth over breadth
