Sat Reasoning June 06 - Post All Discussions HERE!

i think i only had one math grid-in, but im cannot really remember. i do not remember having a 3, 17, 100 or w/e numbers people were talking about. i unfortunately did not count my sections, but i think i may have had a writing exp because i feel like i had alot of sentence correction sections.

did anyone have a writing experimental, and if so, what was a question or two from it?

can someone also give example(s) from what they think is the math experimental?

I think the hard one for me was the second one. For some reason I blanked on stupid things like the max value of the parabola and the very last grid-in (where f(2x) = 2f(x)). I don't get how I can be amazing at calc and suck at SAT math :(

NishtDawg:which grid in section are you guys talking about- clues about specific questions?

I do not remember exactly which grid-in (I think it was the first) but another math section had a question about a parabola where f(2)=f(9)=12, and had to find the least value of x where x<0. I do not remember exactly what the question was.

Hey,

On the test w/ only 3 math sections, what did you guys get for the grid in problem asking when the mile time record will be at 3:30?

I got the year 2004

I copied the answers down in my calculator as I did them. If anyone wants to compare let me know. As for the actual questions, I have already blocked today between 7 and 12:30 out of my mind.

here's my logic...the first grid in section was experimental because people may have thought, when they found a second grid in, that it was experimental because they already had a grid in previously...the collegeboard trying to trick test takers?

does that make any sense?

i got 2017

was it the one with the parabola and like x^2 + bc + c with vertex at (5, -4)?

i got like x = 3 or 7 or something like that.

i think i said 2017.. because it took 21 years for 10 seconds to be taken off. since there were 20 seconds, i added 42 to the year, and got 2017. did anyone else get this?

yea, i got that section too, sushi

I remember skipping that one due to my crappy math skills :/

Oh well.

The year was 2017

If you need me to tell you how let me know

Dancingbear, I got 2017 as well.

i got 2017 also.. btw, has one wrong in math ever been less than a 780?

Yes, the answer was gerrymander!

unfortunately i didn't have two CR sections, but two WR sections. ???

did you have three writing sections in all?

OH shiz

I originally thought it owuld be that, but I got it really easily ,and assumed that that was what they wanted me to do, so I did all this bs on my calc, and got around 2004.

oh wellz ( 2 omitted, 1 wrong so far) I would love a 700+ on math....

yeahhh i did, it was like section 2 ,6/7, and 10 something like that.

do you guys remember the circle question
circle 1 : has a radius
circle 2 : has a radius double circle 1
what is the max number of intersection points

also there is a problem grid in:
3 condition: 1<=n<=20
n<5 it is even
n<14 it is odd
