I thought it was tempered appreciation

here are some critical reading questions that i dont remember. Lets try to get this answers!!!:

1) one question involving the artist passage was like ( i think.. i hope im not making this up): Which of the following things is the artist most likely to paint?

2) becides the 2% question, what was the other question involving the small passage on pathogens. Also, what was the answer to this other question?

3) becides the question about the name "morse code" question, what was the other question involving the small passage on the morse code. Also, what was the answer to this other question?

4) also, with regards to the passage about vertical and horizontal reading, one question quoted something from the passage (this quote was located at the bottom of the first column of this passage- i think it had to do with deserted/ something with an island?). Well, does anyone remember this exact question and/ or its answer?

haha...i said unqualified approval
he says smtg like "even though his style is artifiical, I still admire it."
hmm. i dunno if the simple acknowledgement of a weakness can be describes as "tempered."

1) the answer was like an ordinary item like a plant or something.

2) didnt have that passage

3) did not have passage

4) did not have passage

backfire.. i looked at ur other posts and we actually had different tests. so i guess ur answer 1 for for a similar type question on ur test, lol.

anyways, EVERYONE ELSE, TRY TO ANSWER POST 1282!!!!!

^^^ywa i had that test

watchadoing- for the pathogens problem - the other question asked you to answer which does "unwittingly"(or some similar word) refer to?

in the passage, as you may remember, it said "many tourists unwittingly spread diseases".

ok that was prob an easy question.. unwittingly= unknowing

if anyone else knows the answers to the other questions i posted, feel free to respond

hi everybody, i'm new to this forum..i love the "togetherness" of this site, most of everybody seems to really give support to each other..
i wrote my SATs June 3rd just for the heck of it, didn't have time to study much although i did some practice tests and wrote a few vocab. cards..not expecting a fly mark but at the same time, hoping that my mark would be acceptable..
for my essay, i wrote about the Big Three car companies, the Kyoto Accord all related to pollution and then a touch of creativity (ha!), i added a paragraph about neglecting family time since technology has gotten us all into our iPods and computers and such (i even mentioned the movie "RV"..hopefully when they grade it holistically, they don't catch that point haha), as well as losing the romanticism of old fashioned communication..i think i deviated a bit here...
but thinking back to the test, i've missed a CR vocab question (didn't kno wut gerrymandering meant) and missed a few grid in questions as well as a couple of writing questions..feeling a bit nervous here...help anyone?

For the weatherman passage I put tempered appreciation as well.

I don't really have anything useful to add, just that on my test I had:

Root(50+x^2)

What value of X will give you closest to 10?
A. 5
B. 6
C. 7
D. 8
E. 9

I don't know why but I initially put 5. Luckily after the section I had like 6 minutes left to go back through the section and caught my mistake!! Couldn't believe it when I looked at how stupid the mistake was...

well i didnt have this question but the answer would be C because the square root of 100 would be 10 so you are trying the number that when put in for X would be closest to 100 inside the parenthesis. So Root(50+(7)^2)= root(50+49)=root(99) which is the closest to root(100)

here are some unanswered critical reading questions. Lets try to get all of these answers. So if you know an answe, please post a message. Also, if anyone who had this version of the test wants to add a question to the list feel free to do so.

1) one question involving the artist passage was like ( i think.. i hope im not making this up): Which of the following things is the artist most likely to paint?

2) becides the question about the name "morse code" question, what was the other question involving the small passage on the morse code. Also, what was the answer to this other question?

3) with regards to the passage about vertical and horizontal reading, one question quoted something from the passage (this quote was located at the bottom of the first column of this passage- i think it had to do with deserted/ something with an island?). Well, does anyone remember this exact question and/ or its answer?

i also put tempered approval... i was between unqualified whatever but i feel like he was qualified

one of the choices was sculptures but I barely remember

other question was the word "spread" which was easy

I think it meant that people were content being isolated

what was the spread question?

oh yea, i remember that question.

it said what does "this word" refer to?

and the obvious answer was "spreading" (or something with that idea) the word was talking about how the morse code was becoming more popular and well known and spreading to different areas.

this was an "easy" question.

ok, i remember it now. thanks everyone. but what about the remaining questions?

1) one question involving the artist passage was like ( i think.. i hope im not making this up): Which of the following things is the artist most likely to paint?

also, if anyone else remembers more questions, please post them!!!!!

hey, for the question in the Hana the Japanese artist, the interpretation of the word about casting shadow...the answer looks like is "put forth" but does anyone remember what other answer choices were? im not sure what i put and i reeeally wanna know if i got it right,,,

^ the other "possible" answer people say is "eject". but i personally don't see how it makes ANY sense.
