SAT retake? no.. not a super genius!

So I'm facing a dilemma right now.

I have taken SAT three times, with frustrating scores.

My counselor/parents are constantly telling me that my SAT score does not reflect abilities...

I'm top 1% at my school for GPA.

And, it seems like all my friends and everyone else at my school are easily getting 2300-2400.

I took SAT I in October. I am also signed up for the math II subject test on Nov 1st. It would be amazing if you can give me suggestions as to whether or not I should take SAT I again or just take SAT II subject. Also, my English scores for October were terrible. How would colleges look at that?

I have also tried the ACT. But it seems like I just don't do well on standardized tests.

03/2008
R- 640 M-680 W-620 1940

06/2008
R-670 M-690 W-650 2010

10/2008
R-630 M-780 W-590 2000

Combined Score- 2100/1400

Subject II
Chinese-800
Math-720
Bio-730

It is usually not recommended to take the SAT I more than three times. I would say take the Math IIC in November.

I also took the ACT today.
yeah. I know that it is not recommended since all the colleges would see the scores...

it could be that you're just a bad test taker.

Yeah se how you do on ACT. Cause I dont think you have to show your act scores so if you do well, then cool. If not, then dont show it

Take the Math II again...If you are 1% of your GPA, I'm sure with some studying you can master the test.

your combined score is well within range of 99 percent of the colleges in the us, and you still have a solid chance at the other 1 percent.
good luck!

hahah. yeah. i know im a horrible test taker.
but the thing is i do fine on tests in school and APs!
Just not the SATs for some strange reason. :(
