SAT Review Books?

Hello, I am planning on taking the SAT for the first time in May and have decided to take the self study approach. I am in need of some review books to help me out. Please recommend some review books for each section. Are there specific books connected to CR,W, and M?
Please list the better ones here. I've heard the Official SAT Guide is good, so I plan on getting that, but are there any section specific ones that are really good as well? Thanks.

Use the Official Guide, Direct Hits and Silverturtle’s guide. That’s all you need. The “tricks” they they teach in barron’s, gruber’s etc. are unhelpful. If you are scoring less than a 1800-2100 on a practice test you need to actually improve fundamental concepts. Use your school maths book and read more literature!

PS Self study is the best route. Tutors are unnecessary and a waste of time and money.

Check out PWN the SAT Math. It’s the best math prep book out there. I doubt anyone who really uses it well can get less than a 700 on the math.

I used the Dr.Chung Math book. I found this book very useful as it gives 50 tips to ace in SAT. Also, there are 20 practice tests for you to practice

There’s nothing like good ole practice.
I’m serious!
Solve the blue book over 9 times and acquaint yourselves with all the different types of questions the CollegeBoard will throw at you.

For me, learning the “tricks” were very NOT useful, because honestly, under testing conditions, you tend to forget those numerous itsy bitsy tricks.
I taught myself test-taking strategies from solving the tests over and over again and I got a pretty good score, but I can’t speak for you I guess.
I would recommend that you not inundate yourself with memorizing so many tricks.

Best of luck to you and all the other SAT test takers!
Kick butt guys

can anyone explain tip number 27 in dr. chung’s for me?

Blue book for sure.
Kaplan works very well for me, as does Princeton (although Joe Bloggs is annoyingly useless).
I did not like Barron’s at all, although this might be personal preference.
